Climbing Hochstetter Dome, 1993

In late March 1993, I climbed Hochstetter Dome’s western peak. It’s a 2,810-metre / 9,219-feet high mountain at the head of the Tasman glacier in New Zealand’s Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park. It was my first successful technical alpine climb, and this web-album is about the climb and its context.
