An attempt on Lobuje East, 1991 |
 After the expedition: Despite the fact that prior to arriving in Kathmandu, none of us had met before, we got on fantastically. We were nine total strangers who bonded quickly. We became – and have remained – close friends. The first reunion of the “Lobuje Legends” (as Geoff jokingly dubbed our group only a few days after we’d left Jiri and started trekking towards Lobuje East) was held in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales at the end of May 1992.
