 Introduction: All the web-albums I’ve made about climbing trips I’ve been on begin with a photograph of a flag. To highlight the fact that in 2023, Mt Taranaki dropped its former name, Mt Egmont, and is now officially known only by its Maori name, I chose a photograph that I’ve taken of the tino rangatiratanga flag – the national Maori flag of New Zealand – to open this web-album. |
