Thirteen Formative Years |
 EDUCATION – Parktown Boys’ High School: In early 1957, I started the first of the five years that I spent as a high school student in South Africa. Saxonwold Primary was a natural feeder school for Parktown Boys’ High (well, for the boys at least), so quite a few of us went there, but we were scattered across a large number of first year – i.e., Standard 6 or Form 1 – classes and we didn’t see much of each other. Of course, none of the girls I’d known at primary school came to Parktown Boys' High, and as a result I haven’t seen or been in touch with any of them other than Marie Holstensson since December 1956. |
