 HOLIDAYS – Cape Town: In his Memoirs, Bobby recalled how on one occasion during our December 1949 Cape Town holiday, “we … [drove] with the children [south] along the Atlantic coast to Cape Point and return[ed] via the False Bay side.” This is a photograph taken by Bobby (but on another occasion) looking out from Chapman’s Peak Drive, across Hout Bay, and west at the Atlantic Ocean beyond the Sentinel, which is the prominent peak at the entrance to the bay. |
