 HOLIDAYS – Hermanus: Six-year-old Stuart with arms akimbo standing beside Charlie in the front yard of the cottage we used to rent in Hermanus. By dint of careful detective work in September 2019 – when I went back to Hermanus the first time since January 1961 – I worked out that the cottage had been in what is now called Nichol Street. |
