 ... we won a permit for two people to do a one-day Mt Whitney climb on Thursday, 19 July 2012. Sadly, my friend Rob Suero, with whom I had climbed Gannett Peak in Wyoming in 2006, was not so lucky: his name was not drawn in the lottery and, as a result, he wasn’t able to join Eric and me on the mountain. |
