 We turned north and headed along the Trail Crest, which is part of the John Muir Trail. The wind from the west was bitterly cold, and Eric and I stopped to put on goretex coats and windproof trousers. The party we’d met half an hour earlier paused to do likewise, and one of them can be seen sheltering from the wind in the top right-hand corner of this picture.
