Climbing Mt Aylmer, 1994 |
 I left Wellington on Monday afternoon, 28 March 1994, and flew to Christchurch, and the following day caught a bus from Christchurch to the Mt Cook village. On Wednesday morning, 30 March 1994, Alpine Guides’ instructor, Gerry Kennedy, and I flew from Mt Cook village, up past the imposing presence of Aoraki / Mt Cook itself, and landed on the neve at the head of the Tasman Glacier. |
