Europe, 1963 |
 While I was travelling through Europe in 1963, I bought patches – cloth badges mounted on felt – in almost every country I visited. I don’t know what I intended to do with them (I do know, though, that I never sewed them onto a backpack or a campfire blanket), but I’ve at last found a use for them: scanned copies of the patches I bought are being used in this web-album to help illustrate the route of my travels. As this picture shows, my travels began in the Netherlands. |
