Europe, 1969 |
 Introduction – UNITED KINGDOM: Heather and I had bought a brand new Austin Mini Minor van in January 1968, and this is a photograph that Heather took in Colchester in 1969 of me cleaning the van. Given that we had the final three months of 1969 to fill in before migrating to New Zealand, we decided to take the van over to the mainland of Europe and spend several months driving around and seeing “the Continent” (as people in Britain at the time often referred to Europe). |
