 Simone said he felt like Superman in his red under-vest. We all went to bed at 6:50 pm. However, nervous anticipation meant I didn’t sleep at all well. As I noted in my diary, I “looked at my watch at 7:45 pm, 9:42 pm, 11:03 pm, and 11:27 pm”! We got up at 12:30 am, but Bob McCulley and Marilena Pedroni decided not try for the summit and opted to stay behind. |
